If you have more scholarly interests then you can enjoy some of Mexico's archaeological attractions. Chichen Itza is the ancient Mayan city, and considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. There are also pyramids, which are awe-inspiring achievements of primitive civilization, including locations in Palenque and Chichen Itza.
